The JMF (junior members forum) is a free-of-charge, 2-day residential conference, which takes place in informal surroundings over a weekend, and gives you the chance to be heard on the matters that are important to you.
Taking place on Saturday 25 – Sunday 26 February 2017 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nottingham – Gateway, the forum provides a unique opportunity for junior members to get involved with the BMA. The content of the agenda will be shaped by the issues important to those attending and the output can go on to become BMA policy and guide future work of the Association.
This year the theme of the JMF will be ‘Healthcare access: quality and equity in uncertain times’. Attendees will:
- Have the chance to hear from and put questions to expert speakers;
- Have an opportunity to network with like-minded colleagues, as well as senior BMA leaders, from all branches of practice, discussing issues relevant to you;
- Have the chance to contribute to BMA policy and start making a difference to the future of your profession.
The conference is open to BMA members from all parts of the profession, who are within 12 years of provisional registration or 11 years of full registration. A number of places are also available for medical students.
Reasonable travel expenses will be met by the BMA and accommodation will be provided.
